We are so excited to announce our investment in PathMatch. Pathmatch is a career navigation platform connecting students to both modern careers, associated skills, and prospective employers. Our partnership with PathMatch marks our first investment into a company tackling the knowledge gap that college students face when evaluating career paths.
Our investment into PathMatch acknowledges that many college students – especially those from low-income households – face barriers in securing jobs and internships that advance their career aspirations. In the 11 years since software began “eating the world”, the taxonomy of careers has fundamentally changed; however, education about the changing job market has been slower to catch up. Enter, PathMatch.
Our passion for tackling this problem was only exceeded by our conviction in Founder and CEO, Nancy Soni. Nancy’s wealth of experience includes recruiting for some of the largest tech companies in the world, such as Amazon, Warby Parker, and Snapchat. Nancy’s enthusiasm for solving this problem is born from her own career trajectory which started with completion of pre-med requirements and most recently, a successful exit from FILD, a company that she founded and led for nearly 6 years.
